This is a reasonable example
of a very difficult date, it appears to be an overdate as
well as the 7 appears to be over a six. There is a small
line going from the base of the 7 to the top and overall it
looks to be within a rounded area, see the
upclose scan below.
Overall the condition of the
coin is about Fine, there are parts that are better, namely
the ruff and crown, the outline of the portrait is there but
not much facial detail. There is also a slight wave
to the coin.
The reverse is pretty nice
with most of the quadrants of the shield being there and a
reasonable portion of the legend. The flan is a little
small, so has probably seen a little clipping or silver shaving,
typical of the era.
